The Green Bay Packers will need to pay quarterback Jordan Love a contract extension after the Detroit Lions gave Jared Goff one on Monday. According to sources who told ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Goff received a contract extension from Detroit which is a four-year deal worth $212 million, and $170 million of it is guaranteed.
This comes after the Lions made it to the NFC Championship Game a season ago before losing to the San Francisco 49ers. This contract extension is going to affect the Green Bay Packers in a lot of ways. Love may want more money than Goff and Green Bay is going to be facing Jared Goff for quite some time in the NFC North division.
The Detroit Lions won the NFC North a season ago and Green Bay is looking to take that crown back in 2024. Last season, he completed 67.3% of his passes for 4,575 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Some people might view him as the best quarterback in the NFC, but Packers fans disagree with that.

There will be a lot of debating as to how much money quarterback Jordan Love deserves. He is not the only player who is affected by the Jared Goff contract. Houston Texans quarterback C.J.
