The Milwaukee Bucks did not know what hit them on Tuesday night as they suffered one of their most deflating losses of the season at the hands of the Sacramento Kings. A lackluster Bucks side just had no answer to the Kings, who pretty much manhandled their opponents en route to a 129-94 statement win.
Giannis Antetokounmpo (30 points on 10-of-17 shooting, 13 rebounds, four assists) did all he could for his team, but ultimately, it was another wasted effort for the former back-to-back MVP.

After the game, Giannis spoke about how his team was just unable to match Sacramento’s pace. The Bucks knew coming in that this was going to be a major factor in this matchup, but they simply just could not deliver:
“We just gotta match their energy, find the pace,” Antetokounmpo said, via Eric Nehm of The Athletic. “Especially early in the game, if you’re not locked in and not able to match the same energy as them, you’re going to have problems. I think starting the game it sets the tone for the rest of the game.
“You know that it’s going to be a track meet. You know they’re going to play fast. You know they’re going to shoot the ball with 17 seconds on the clock. If you’re not locked in from the first second, you’re going to have problems. We weren’t locked in.”
As they always say, knowing is half the battle. However, it was with the other half that the Bucks failed miserably on Tuesday night.
De’Aaron Fox (29 points, six rebounds, seven assists) and Domantas Sabonis (22 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists) led the charge again for the Kings, with Malik Monk chipping in with 25 points off the bench.
Sacramento has done a tremendous job of erasing some of the heartbreak from their last meeting when Damian Lillard sunk them with a buzzer-beating triple in overtime. The season series ends 1-1.
