Without Milwaukee Bucks talisman Giannis Antetokounmpo in the picture, Damian Lillard went off in what was one of the best performances of his Bucks career in their Game 1 blowout win over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. At this point, it is clear that Lillard will have no other choice but to carry much of the scoring load for Milwaukee if Giannis remains sidelined.
As such, it is important to know: Is Giannis Antetokounmpo playing tonight vs. the Pacers?
Milwaukee Bucks News: Giannis Antetokounmpo Iffy for Game 2
Bucks fans probably shouldn’t get their hopes up on Antetokounmpo’s availability for Game 2 on Tuesday night. This is after Milwaukee listed the former back-to-back MVP as doubtful to play as he continues to deal with a nagging calf injury.
According to head coach Doc Rivers, Giannis appears to be trending in the right direction, but it does not sound like Antetokounmpo has recovered to a point where he will be able to suit up in Game 2.
It is worth noting that the Bucks also listed their superstar as doubtful heading into Game 1, and he ultimately got scratched from the contest.
As such, with regard to the question of is Giannis Antetokounmpo playing tonight vs. the Pacers, the answer, unfortunately, is that it’s unlikely.
