For an NBA star as popular as Giannis Antetokounmpo, getting a plate of chicken wings shouldn’t be a problem at all. Well, that’s exactly the challenge the Greek Freak failed at during a game between the Milwaukee Bucks and New Orleans Pelicans.
In a recent 141-117 win by the Bucks over New Orleans, Antetokounmpo posted 30 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists in 29 minutes. Meanwhile, Damian Lillard, Antetokounmpo’s All-Star teammate, had 26 points, Brook Lopez added 24, and Bobby Portis handed out 20 of his own to help Milwaukee cruise to the win against the Pelicans.
But before the game could even end, Antetokounmpo and the fans found something to celebrate about. By the time Milwaukee was in the lead with a 136-107 score, Naji Marshall was about to hit his two free throws. As fate would have it, the Pelicans’ wing missed both of those attempts from the foul line.
As seen in a tweet by Rob Perez, by the end of those two missed free throws, a QR code flashed on the screen for everyone in the area to scan. Those who have successfully scanned it can claim their free wings from Wingstop.

While a lot of fans present in the arena claimed their free wings, Anterokounmpo had his shot rejected.

Even though the Bucks recently won over New Orleans, Antetokounmpo’s failure to get those wings from Wingstop is one hilarious scene to see, especially after he races against time to scan that QR code and fails. Here’s hoping his mother or fiancee actually got those wings for the Greek Freak after the game.
