The Milwaukee Bucks play for a second time on two nights on Tuesday night as they host the Miami Heat in a rematch of last season’s first-round playoffs matchup. The Bucks have been pretty banged up of late, which is why it comes as no surprise that Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed on the injury report again ahead of Tuesday’s game.
The big question is this: Is Giannis Antetokounmpo playing tonight vs. the Heat?
Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo on Injury Report for Heat Game
Giannis looked perfectly fine on Monday night as he dominated Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets, en route to an impressive 112-95 blowout victory at the Fiserv Forum. The Bucks talisman finished with 36 points on 14-of-19 shooting, to go along with 18 rebounds, five assists, two steals, and three blocks in 30 minutes of action.
Antetokounmpo, however, is still dealing with a knee issue — one that has lingered over the past several games. The same is the case for Tuesday night with Giannis listed as probable to play due to patellar tendinitis in his right knee.
Fans can remain optimistic about his status for Tuesday night, though, given the probable tag. At this point, only a significant setback is going to prevent Antetokounmpo from suiting up.
So, with regard to the question of is Giannis Antetokounmpo playing tonight vs. the Heat, the answer is that it’s highly likely.
UPDATE: Giannis has been cleared to play and will be in the starting lineup against Miami:
