The Milwaukee Bucks‘ preparation for the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft is now in full swing. The Bucks have one of the oldest rosters in the entire league, and the addition of some young talent could be the boost this team needs for the upcoming season.
According to reports, one of the players they will be looking into as a potential draftee is Weber State standout Dillon Jones.
Milwaukee Bucks to Host Dillon Jones for Workout

NBA insider Michael Scotto of HoopsHype has recently reported that the Weber State forward has earned a workout invitation with the Bucks. The 6-foot-6 wing, however, will also be working out with the Indiana Pacers, Charlotte Hornets, Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors, and the San Antonio Spurs.
According to Jones, he believes his best comparison in the NBA right now is New York Knicks star Josh Hart:
“I think now, when you see Josh Hart how he’s killing it, I think it’s harder to find a better comparison for me than him, especially from where I’m scaling up to be in the NBA,” Jones told HoopsHype. “Hart was a heck of a player at Villanova. He had the ball in his hands a lot, but once he came to the NBA, he found value in what he does. He’s a heck of a player in transition, rebounding the ball, being tough on the wings, and doing whatever coach Thibodeau needs him to do as that utility piece. I think it’s harder to find a guy I compare to than him.”
For his part, Jones believes that he will end up being drafted in the 20-40 range. The Pacers, in particular, have been predicted to be the team that will scoop up the 22-year-old with their No. 36 overall pick.

A Familiar Weber State Alum

One thing Jones has going for him is that he will likely have the backing of a fellow Weber State alum in Damian Lillard. The eight-time All-Star is the most decorated name in Wildcats history and I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t mind having a fellow alumni on the Bucks.
In four seasons with Weber State, Lillard posted career averages of 18.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists, while also knocking down 3.3 triples per game on a dizzying 49.7 percent clip.
