Milwaukee Bucks: Fans Believe Doc Rivers ‘Has Dirt’ on Adam Silver Amid All-Star Game Coaching Controversy

Doc Rivers officially clinched his spot in the upcoming NBA All-Star Game when he got his first win as the Milwaukee Bucks’ new head coach on Saturday against the Dallas Mavericks. Thanks to that victory, the Bucks secured the best record in the East among teams who have head coaches who are qualified to represent the conference for the ASG.

The top seed in the East is the Boston Celtics, but since Joe Mazzulla coached in the All-Star Game last season, he was no longer eligible this year.

Talk about everything falling in the right place for Rivers, right?

Milwaukee Bucks’ Doc Rivers Does NOT Want to Coach in the ASG

For his part, Rivers has already made it abundantly clear that he would prefer not to coach in the ASG. He knows that he doesn’t deserve it considering how it was ex-head coach Adrian Griffin who led the Bucks to the second-best record in the East.

Be that as it may, the league has decided that it’s the right decision to let Rivers coach the East despite the fact that it’s barely been a week since he was reinstated as an NBA head coach.

Rivers did say that he intends to send his coaching staff to Indiana for the game and that he plans on going on vacation instead. The 62-year-old will also give his bonus and the All-Star ring to Griffin. Either way, it sounds like Coach Doc will be coaching on the sidelines for the ASG come February 18.

Does Doc Rivers Have Dirt on Commissioner Adam Silver?

More than a few fans have been questioning this totally unexpected turn of events. A lot of supporters are adamant that there’s no way Doc Rivers deserves this honor. This has hilariously led to some suspicion about Rivers having an ace up his sleeve over league commissioner Adam Silver:

lol how Doc Rivers coaching the all star game? He got some dirt on Silver or sumn
