The Milwaukee Bucks are officially set to finalize their roster for the remainder of the season. They currently have one out of their 15 roster spots still available, but with reports emerging about the imminent signing of free agent Danilo Gallinari, it shouldn’t be long before the Bucks fill out that spot.
One man who’s excited to about this news is Gallo’s his former teammate, Patrick Beverley, who himself just recently joined Milwaukee. Beverley and Gallinari crossed paths during their time together with the Los Angeles Clippers a few years back, and Pat Bev is happy to reunite with a familiar face.
Milwaukee Bucks Set to Sign Danilo Gallinari
Multiple reports confirmed on Thursday night that the Bucks are on the verge of signing Gallinari via free agency. The 35-year-old was recently waived by the Detroit Pistons after just eight games played. The Pistons acquired Gallo from the Washington Wizards via a trade deal last January, but he clearly was not included in Detroit’s plans moving forward.
At least four other teams reportedly tried to sign Gallinari, with the Phoenix Suns, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Clippers, and the Chicago Bulls all supposedly showing interest in the 6-foot-10 forward.
In the end, it was Milwaukee who prevailed in the race for Gallo.
Patrick Beverley’s Hilarious Danilo Gallinari Story
It was actually Beverley, via the Pat Bev Pod, who first broke the news about Milwaukee closing in on Gallinari. As soon as the news became (semi) official, Beverley took to Twitter again to send his new teammate a special message. In true Pat Bev fashion, it also included a hilarious story about the Italian:
@gallinari8888 pack up the Subaru my boy!!!! See you soon 🦌 pic.twitter.com/7YudKDY0ZP

While the way the story was told was undeniably funny, it’s actually quite impressive to learn that Gallinari isn’t about that life. He’s not the type who flashes his fortune through the car he drives, which speaks volumes of how he’s not the materialistic type.
Gallo should get along well with Giannis Antetokounmpo.
