The Milwaukee Bucks are set to make another potentially significant addition to their roster after reports emerged on Thursday that they are now on the brink of signing veteran forward Danilo Gallinari via free agency.
As usual, it was renowned NBA insiders Adrian Wojnarowski and Shams Charania who broke the news via Twitter. However, it appears that new Bucks recruit Patrick Beverley may have actually beat them to it.
Patrick Beverley First Reported Milwaukee Bucks’ Interest in Danilo Gallinari
On Thursday morning, Beverley reported that Gallinari is headed either to the Bucks or the Los Angeles Clippers. He made the announcement via his Pat Bev Bod Twitter account:

To be fair, Beverley did not report that the Bucks were already on the brink of signing the 35-year-old forward. He did, however, reveal Milwaukee’s interest in Gallinari several hours before Woj or Shams made any mention of the same.

This isn’t the first time Beverley reported breaking news to the public. It was also the combo guard himself who first reported his trade to the Bucks ahead of the deadline:

On Sunday, Beverley also reported that former teammate Marcus Morris is headed to the Minnesota Timberwolves:
