It took some time before the Brooklyn Nets were able to submit their official injury report for Wednesday’s bout against the Milwaukee Bucks. This is because the Nets were also in action on Tuesday night. They put the Detroit Pistons on the wrong end of history by handing them their 27th straight loss of the season, which is now a new (and very ugly) NBA record.
It’s a quick turnaround for the Nets, though, who travel back to New York to host the Bucks at the Barclays Center barely 24 hours after their game in Detroit.
Brooklyn Nets’ Injury Report Vs. Milwaukee Bucks
The Nets will be missing no less than three starters on Wednesday night with Spencer Dinwiddie (rest) and Nic Claxton (left ankle sprain/injury management) both ruled out. Cameron Johnson will be watching from the sidelines as well after he was also marked as out due to a right knee sprain/injury management.
Lonnie Walker IV will miss his 13th straight game for the Nets because of a lingering hamstring problem, while Dorian Finney-Smith has been tagged as questionable with a sore left knee.
Ben Simmons (back) remains out and is without a firm timetable to return.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Questionable to Play
The Bucks have an even bigger dilemma on their hands. This is after Giannis Antetokounmpo was listed as questionable to play due to a right calf injury. This appears to be a new injury for the seven-time All-Star, who was previously dealing with a right midfoot sprain. Antetokounmpo was able to play through the foot problem, though, so Milwaukee fans will be hoping that the same is the case on Wednesday against Brooklyn.
If Giannis is unable to go, however, it’s going to be Damian Lillard who will have to do much of the heavy lifting for the Bucks. As we have seen in the past, the All-NBA point guard is more than capable of that.
