Coming off a Christmas day loss to the New York Knicks with a score of 129-122, the Milwaukee Bucks are looking to redeem themselves on Wednesday night versus the Brooklyn Nets in Barclays Center. However, the Bucks could be without their star of the franchise heading into the contest.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Officially Listed as Questionable versus the Brooklyn Nets
Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has been one of the early frontrunners for MVP this season is listed as questionable for Wednesday night’s contest versus Brooklyn. Antetokounmpo had an injury designation leading up to Christmas day with a foot sprain, but was cleared to play putting up 32 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists versus New York.
Giannis hasn’t missed a game since November 15th in a road win over the Toronto Raptors, which is the only game he has missed all season. He is officially listed with right calf injury management for Wednesday night.

Along with averaging over 30 points and 11 rebounds a game, Antetokounmpo has broken multiple career records this season and leads the franchise with the most points, rebounds and assists in Milwaukee Bucks history.
It would be an obvious blow to Milwaukee if he ends up sidelined for the contest, but expect Bobby Portis and MarJon Beauchamp to be afforded extended minutes if Antetokounmpo is indeed ruled out.
Other players on the Bucks injury report include Jae Crowder, who has been ruled out for Wednesday’s contest due to the surgery that took place on his left adductor last month. Crowder is not expected to be back in the lineup for at least a few more weeks. TyTy Washington and Marques Bolden, who are on two-way contracts have also been ruled out for the matchup versus Brooklyn.
Coverage for Wednesday night’s contest will begin at 7:30 PM Eastern time streaming live on NBA League Pass. With a win, Milwaukee would tie the top seeded Boston Celtics for the most wins in the Eastern Conference with 23.
