Milwaukee Brewers catcher William Contreras was arguably the team’s most valuable player a season ago. During his first year with the Crew he excelled defensively while also posting a 125 OPS+ at the plate with 17 home runs and 78 RBI. This spring he is off to a hot start as he hit a home run during his first spring training at-bat against the Colorado Rockies.
Despite an early lead, the Milwaukee Brewers lost 10-3 against the Colorado Rockies.
A day after the Brewers beat the Padres by a score of 11-7, Milwaukee found themselves on the wrong end of a slug fest against the Colorado Rockies as they lost by a score of 10-3. William Contreras was one bright spot for the team and his solo home run during his first at-bat was the first run of the game. After that pitcher Taylor Clarke got tagged with two earned runs, Harold Chirino five earned runs, Sam Carlson two earned runs, and Ryan Middendorf one earned run.
