The Milwaukee Brewers 2023 regular season is nearing an end for we are in the last full month of the regular season. This September the team is looking to win the National League Central Division for the second time in three years, but there also are some significant career milestones that a few players and that manager Craig Counsell could achieve. Let’s take a look at what those are.
Four career milestones that could be achieved in September by Milwaukee Brewers players and manager Craig Counsell.
- Christian Yelich – 700 career RBI
Currently Christian Yelich has 699 career RBI. He is just one away from reaching 700 in which 406 of them have came with the Brewers. This has him 19th on Milwaukee’s all-time leader board. Jeff Cirillo is the next person ahead of him at 418.
- Carlos Santana – 300 career home runs and 1,000 career RBI
Although he is new to the Brewers, Carlos Santana is knocking on the door of two pretty big career milestones. He is three home runs shy of 300 for his career and is five away from 1,000 RBI. Both of those are attainable this September and should be recognized.
- Craig Counsell – 700 career managerial wins
Craigtember is off to a 2-1 start this year and there are 26 games remaining on the schedule. As it stands today Craig Counsell has 691 wins as a manager. At some point in the middle of September we should get to celebrate win number 700.
