Jamaal Williams and the Detroit Lions are preparing to face the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. This match-up comes one week after the Packers absolutely dominated the Minnesota Vikings 41-17 on the same field. After the game, many Vikings fans complained about the field conditions as many players were seen “slipping” during the game. When Jamaal Williams was asked about the field conditions in Green Bay, he had a hilarious response.

Here is an official statement from Vikings’ Offensive Coordinator regarding the “field conditions” in Green Bay:

It seems pretty clear that multiple people in the Vikings organization were irritated with how often players slipped on the Lambeau Field turf last week, especially those who didn’t wear the recommended 7-stud cleats. OC Wes Phillips had a sharp response on the issue today:
Just put on the studded things and stop trying to look cute. That’s it. Just play with the field, I understand some people may be scared to put them on, but I don’t know why. Honestly, I feel like it helps a lot. That’s what helps me a lot when it’s raining and muddy and all that. Just put on the studders and go out there and play ball. Don’t try to go out there and put on your little fancy cute shoes cause they’re cute. You know what I mean? Then you’re out there slipping. Now after that you got to use that as an excuse? We don’t want excuses. We want to go out there and perform and leave with a dub. We’ll be ready for the field.

Even in his ex-Packer days, Jamaal Williams finds a way to throw shade at complaining Vikings fans and players. While he is currently in Detroit, Williams will always be a treasure in Green Bay.
