The Green Bay Packers need to win today against the Carolina Panthers. What once appeared to be a straight forward playoff path, has since turned into not an ideal situation that would require the Green Bay Packers needing outside help to sneak in as a Wild Card. For some fans, the playoffs are far from a realistic possibility at this point. Instead, these last few games, especially against a pitiful Carolina Panthers team, is a chance to show some semblance of improvement.
Green Bay Packers 2 Key Active Updates
Probably the biggest addition back to the team is that of Jaire Alexander. The cornerback has had an interesting saga, to say the least, regarding his return to play. AJ Dillon is battling through a broken thumb injury, but is also going to see snaps from his running back position. Both players are listed as active for the Green Bay Packers game against the Carolina Panthers.
After how some of the loses have unfolded for this team, the news is encouraging, as both sides of the ball need help. Against a team that realistically should not be a close competition, ideally both players see some minutes, and are then able to sit out for the entirety of the second half with a large comfortable lead.
Green Bay Packers 2 Key Inactives
If Jordan Love is going to play well today, he will need other Green Bay receivers to step up today. Against the Carolina Panthers secondary, Jayden Reed and Christian Watson will both be inactive for today’s game. When fully healthy, both have showed that they are capable of making plays. But with their current injury status, this is really a missed opportunity to work on some timing and routes with Jordan Love.
With a receiving corps that is young to begin with anyway, the Green Bay Packers will really need the likes of Tucker Kraft, Dontayvion Wicks, and Romeo Dobbs to step up today.
Green Bay Packers Playoff Picture
No longer able to win the NFC North, aside from winning themselves, this team will also be rooting for wins from the Colts, Lions, Jaguars, and Titans. No longer in control of their own destiny, this team needs to just have a good showing against the Carolina Panthers. Through the rest of the year other games will now need to fall certain ways, but first things first, the Packers cannot afford to drop any more games.
