The Green Bay Packers pulled out a win today against the Los Angeles Chargers. Despite some questionable calls by Matt LaFleur, the offense and defense had big plays in the win. One player who continued to show improvement is rookie wide receiver Jayden Reed. LaFleur had some high praise for the rookie after the game.

Green Bay Packers Matt LaFleur On Jayden Reed
“He’s a dog. He’s a war daddy,” LaFleur said at the podium. Reed had a huge offensive day. He caught four passes for 46 yards and had 46 rushing yards including a 32-yard score. He is slowly turning into one of the best offensive weapons for the Packers. As Christian Watson struggles to find his footing in his second year, the rookies have come out to play. Reed and Dontayvion Wicks have looked better each week which is exactly what Packers fans want to see.
A Win Is A Win
It wasn’t perfect but that is not what fans should be expecting this year. This was another step forward for the team. They have been in games but haven’t been able to close the deal to get a win. They finally were able to get it done today. A couple of nice drives by the offense were followed up with big defensive stops. Kenny Clark forced a crucial turnover and the pair of seventh-round rookies in the defensive backfield held up. There is still a lot to work on but this team is looking better every week.
I would not be surprised if Reed starts to get more work for the Green Bay Packers. He is becoming a leader in the locker room and a leader on the field.
