The Green Bay Packers got a huge win on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. While not many fans may have expected a win, the Packers delivered a 23-20 win to move to 4-6 on the year and keep their improbable playoff hopes alive.
The Packers’ win came down to the wire and a few late-game decisions prevented the team from putting the game away earlier. One of those decisions, by head coach Matt LaFleur, was heavily scrutinized on social media.

On a third and five with just under three minutes to go in the game, LaFleur called a run up the middle with A.J. Dillon. The choice forced the Chargers to burn their final timeout, however, it prevented the Packers from putting the game away. The Packers didn’t convert on third-down and allowed Justin Herbert one more possession.
The defense came up big and forced a fourth-down stop that eventually sealed the win. However, that choice on third down went viral on social media:

As they say in sports, a win cures everything else. The Packers managed to pull a big win out at home, however, LaFleur’s play calling has been under a microscope al season. I don’t anticipate that stopping any time soon when calls like these are made.
