Head coach Matt LaFleur dropped an honest take on the loss, which reflected his sentiments on the Packers’ performance in the said game. In it, he emphasizes that the rookie kicker needs to be more consistent to stay in the league while giving credit to the team’s defense against San Francisco.
For his part, Jordan Love admits his mistake was costly and looks to improve his game over the summer. Meanwhile, the team aims to do the same by utilizing their picks well in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft.
Matt LaFleur Drops Biggest Frustration in Green Bay Packers’ Loss to San Francisco 49ers
Speaking about the Packers’ recent loss, LaFleur admits his frustration with what happened on Saturday night.
“I felt like we had plenty of opportunities to put the game out of reach and unfortunately just didn’t do enough,” LaFleur said. “There was a lot of plays out there. If one play goes different, we probably have a different result right now. We just didn’t make enough plays. I’m mad about a couple of play calls. It’s unfortunate,” LaFleur said.
Jordan Love gave his own take on the loss too by saying that they weren’t putting up enough points against a good offense. The Packers’ quarterback adds that winning a game against that kind of offense will be tough.
For sure, the Green Bay Packers’ loss is still fresh and stings for those who have followed their progress all season long. Nevertheless, the team will have to make some major moves to improve when the next campaign starts later this year.
