The Detroit Lions could be without one of their key starters against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night. Lions coach Dam Campbell said earlier this week he was feeling good about the likelihood David Montgomery would be able to play Thursday.
The Lions are hoping to have Montgomery back in a bid to take the lead in the NFC North. The Lions and Packers are both 2-1 and have their starting running backs dealing with injuries early in the season.

But the Lions injury report Wednesday leaves the possibility open that Montgomery will miss the game. According to Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, Montgomery is questionable to play the Packers on Thursday night.
#Lions RB David Montgomery (thigh), LT Taylor Decker (ankle) and CB Emmanuel Moseley (knee/hamstring) are all officially questionable for Thursday night vs. the #Packers.

Given Campbell’s earlier statements, one would think Montgomery would be able to go. However, the timing of a Thursday game is unfortunate for injury returns.
