The Milwaukee Brewers have placed short stop Willy Adames on the 10-day IL. The slugging infielder has been plagued by a bad quad for a few weeks now. Infielder Tim Lopes has been recalled from Nashville to take his place on the roster.

As a result of the move, Luis Urias will slide in as the team’s everyday short stop for the time being. Pablo Reyes, too, is still with the team and is in the lineup today.
Happy Burnes day!

Willy Adames Has Thrived with the Brewers
Prior to being traded to the Brewers, Willy Adames was hitting just .197/.254/.371 with the Tampa Bay Rays. He also had just five home runs and 15 RBI at the time of the trade. Since coming to Milwaukee, though, Adames is hitting .294/.375/.529 with 17 home runs and 51 RBI. Additionally, Adames has more multi-hit games with the Crew than he does hitless games.
The Brewers Have Thrived with Willy Adames
When the Brewers traded for Willy Adames, they were below .500, in third place, and four games back of the division lead. They have taken off since he joined the club. Since May 22, the Brewers are 62-31. That mark is the best in the Majors over that span. Milwaukee now is 29 games over .500 and has a 10 game lead in the division.
