The Green Bay Packers were on the practice field on Wednesday morning. One of the key players who returned to practice for the Packers on Wednesday was wide receiver Jayden Reed. He was dealing with a toe issue and it is a good thing he was back for Green Bay. Reed might be the best playmaker on the Packers roster entering the 2024 NFL season.

While Reed was back for the Green Bay Packers, several other players on the roster did not practice on Wednesday. It was not a surprise that Jordan Love did not practice because he is waiting to receive his new contract. Love does not want to risk getting injured without having his money. Tucker Kraft and Zach Tom are currently on the PUP list and it will be interesting to see when they return.

Rookie running back Marshawn Lloyd will still be out of practice with a hip injury. Green Bay fans are eagerly waiting for him to get back on the practice field because of his potential. Lloyd was a third-round pick out of USC in the 2024 NFL Draft. Lloyd is currently behind Josh Jacobs and A.J. Dillon on the Green Bay Packers depth chart.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (88) is unable to make a catch while being covered by Green Bay Packers cornerback Corey Ballentine (35) during the fourth quarter of the wild card playoff game Sunday, January 14, 2024 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The Green Bay Packers beat the Dallas Cowboys 48-32.

Packers cornerback Corey Ballentine did not practice on Wednesday. He is dealing with a hamstring injury. Green Bay Packers fans are very familiar with hamstring injuries last season. Ballentine is projected to be one of the backup cornerbacks on the roster this season. He is listed behind Jaire Alexander on the depth chart. Corey Ballentine has been in the NFL since being drafted by the New York Giants in the sixth-round (180th overall pick) of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Washburn.

The cornerback position is very thin for Green Bay. On the other side of things, Corey Valentine and Eric Stokes are competing for the other starting cornerback spot on the roster. Ballentine last season with the Green Bay Packers recorded 43 tackles and one interception. With him being out, this opens up the door for players like Kalen King and Gemon Green.

This is a very thin position for the Green Bay Packers. Surprisingly, they have not signed anyone on the free agent market. At some point, they may have no choice but to. Ballentine was also placed on the non-football injury list on Sunday. Will see when he comes to practice at all during the training camp session.
