It was reported in 2021 that former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre and former Mississippi Gov. were accused of misappropriating state welfare funds for building a volleyball stadium at his daughter’s school. Favre has been attempting to prove his innocence ever since. In the course of a legal investigation, lawsuit, and trial, Bryant and Favre have maintained their innocence.
However, we now have seen one of Favre’s business partners plead guilty for his role in the scandal.
Former Green Bay Packers Brett Favre Sees Business Partner Plead Guilty

According to A.J. Perez of Front Office Sports:
Brett Favre’s business partner in a drug company pleaded guilty in a Mississippi federal court on Wednesday for his role in the scandal. The drug company had illegally received more than $2 million of federal welfare funds.
Prevacus founder Jake VanLandingham pleaded guilty to a single count of wire fraud, a charge that carries up to 20 years in prison. VanLandingham was released on a $10,000 bond as he awaits sentencing.
Prevacus was developing two concussion-related treatments when the company received $2.2 million in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funds in 2019. Favre served as a spokesperson for the company and he was the largest individual investor in Prevacus, according to court records.
Favre has denied any wrongdoing as his ties to the misappropriation of funds and he has not been charged criminally.
“I applaud federal prosecutors for their continued work on this case,” state auditor Shad White said in a statement. “I’m grateful for my team at the Auditor’s office and the FBI for digging up the facts related to this case. We will continue to assist federal prosecutors as needed going forward.”
