Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones returned to practice on Thursday. This is good news for the Packers because he missed practice on Wednesday with a hamstring injury. Jones has been dealing with hamstring issues all season long for Green Bay.
He had to miss a couple of games this season because of it. This is a good step for Aaron Jones in potentially playing on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. Jones only has 94 yards rushing on 22 carries and a touchdown so far this season. He is averaging 4.3 yards per carry.
Aaron Jones has also caught six passes for 104 yards receiving and a score. He is averaging 17.3 yards per reception. Jones needs to get more touches if he gets on the field on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.
The Green Bay Packers Have a Big Injury List, and Aaron Jones, For Now is on the Good Side of It
One of the issues for the Packers over the past couple of weeks has been injuries. Aaron Jones has struggled to stay healthy this season. If he had not participated in any drills on Thursday, it would not have been good for playing on Sunday.
This is a good first step for him. However, Friday will be the big day for him. Aaron Jones needs to be healthy this weekend in order for the Packers to pull off the upset against the Minnesota Vikings. Green Bay does not need A.J. Dillon starting in the backfield again because of Jones’s injury issues.
