Tyrese Haliburton is often hailed as the Indiana Pacers’ future in this league. But after Patrick Beverley outplayed the All-Star guard in the Milwaukee Bucks’ Game 5 win, a flood of negative reactions rained down on him right away.
In the most recent game of their series, the Bucks went home with the 115-92 win in their own home court. Even without Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, Khris Middleton and Bobby Portis both stepped up by dropping 29 points each. Malik Beasley had 18 points of his own, while Beverley notched a double-double of 13 points and 12 assists.

For his part, Haliburton led Indiana with 16 points, four rebounds, and six assists. The trio of Andrew Nembhard, Pascal Siakam, and Obi Toppin from the bench each had 12 points. Meanwhile, Myles Turner finished the game with 13 points and five rebounds.
The win helped extend Milwaukee’s season and kept their playoffs hope alive. The loss, on the other hand, has exposed Haliburton and made the Pacers lose momentum as the series shifts back to Indiana.

As it stands, Haliburton is averaging 15.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 9.2 assists in the five games he has played against Milwaukee. Beverley, on the other hand, is notching 8.6 points, 3.6 boards, and 5.6 assists in the series.

With the series shifting back to Indiana, the Pacers are hoping to close out Milwaukee and advance. But with the momentum on the Bucks’ side, it looks like a harder task than expected.
