The Milwaukee Bucks have officially listed both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton as doubtful to play in Game 6 against the Indiana Pacers on Thursday. This only means that Khris Middleton will need to shoulder the offensive load yet again with the team’s top two scorers likely forced to watch Game 6 from the sidelines.
There is now, however, a little bit of doubt surrounding Middleton’s status for Thursday’s win-or-go-home showdown. This is after the three-time All-Star was added to the injury report alongside Giannis and Dame.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Khris Middleton Probable to Play in Game 5
The good news for Middleton is that he’s considered probable to play on Thursday despite dealing with a lingering right ankle sprain:
The Bucks have submitted their first injury report for Game 6 on Thursday.
Doubtful
Giannis Antetokounmpo (left soleus strain)
Damian Lillard (right Achilles tendinitis)Probable
Patrick Beverley (right oblique muscle strain)
Khris Middleton (right ankle sprain)— Eric Nehm (@eric_nehm) May 1, 2024
It is worth noting that Middleton also entered Game 5 with a probable tag, but he was still able to put up a game-high 29 points in the win. More of the same will be expected from him in Game 6 on Thursday under the assumption that the 32-year-old will be upgraded to available prior to tip-off.
You can be sure that Middleton and the rest of the Bucks will be leaving it all on the court for Game 6 as they look to live on to fight another day. It’s do or die for Milwaukee on Thursday night.
