The Milwaukee Bucks did an outstanding job of battling on without their two superstars on Tuesday night. With Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard both sidelined, the shorthanded Bucks secured arguably their biggest win of the season in Game 5 against the Indiana Pacers via a surprising 115-92 blowout victory.
Game 6 is another do-or-die game for Milwaukee and it seems like they will need to go to war again without their two floor generals.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard Doubtful for Game 6
Bucks fans aren’t going to like the team’s first injury report for Thursday’s contest. This is after the team decided to list both Giannis and Lillard as doubtful ahead of Game 6:
The Bucks have submitted their first injury report for Game 6 on Thursday.
Doubtful
Giannis Antetokounmpo (left soleus strain)
Damian Lillard (right Achilles tendinitis)Probable
Patrick Beverley (right oblique muscle strain)
Khris Middleton (right ankle sprain)— Eric Nehm (@eric_nehm) May 1, 2024
The bad news here is that both superstars had the same status heading into Game 5, and we all know what happened there.
The Bucks, however, came out with a major statement in Game 5 sans Antetokounmpo and Lillard. They blew the Pacers out of the water from the get-go, and they never took their foot off the gas.
Game 6 in Indianapolis will be much different, though. It goes without saying that it will be much tougher for the banged-up Bucks to conjure up with another season-saving win on Indiana’s own home floor.
At this point, however, Milwaukee fans are still remaining as faithful as ever.
