Former Milwaukee Bucks draft pick and NBA champion Sam Merrill is on the move again. According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Merrill is signing a 10-day contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Merrill was the first overall pick in the 2022-23 NBA G-League Draft by the Cleveland Charge. He was the 60th (last) pick of the NBA Draft when the Bucks took him in 2020. The Milwaukee Brewers are predicted to win the National League Central Division according to Baseball Prospectus’ PECOTA projections. By all accounts, they have also improved their roster since the end of last season. The Milwaukee Bucks remain the hottest team in the NBA. After going 10-0 in February, Milwaukee started March off on the right foot by defeating the Orlando Magic 139-117 on the second night of a back-to-back. Due to the team playing the Brooklyn Nets the night before, Khris Middleton did not play. Sandro Mamukeslashvili also did not play as he was waived a few hours before the game. The Bucks were able to overcome their shorthandedness thanks in large part to Giannis Antetokounmpo and some red-hot three-point shooting. There may be few NFL coaches that know Green Bay Packers Aaron Rodgers and his play better than Mike McCarthy.
