Aaron Rodgers is truly a polarizing figure. Not only are Green Bay Packers fans split on whether or not they want the future Hall of Famer back in 2023, former Packers players are too! Earlier this week, former Packers fullback John Kuhn expressed the opinion that it is time for the team to move on and hand the keys to the offense over to Jordan Love. Also earlier this week, Packers Hall of Famer and friend of Wisconsin Sports Heroics Gilbert Brown expressed a very different opinion on The Earl Ingram Show.
Gilbert Brown Says the Green Bay Packers Need Aaron Rodgers Back

For listeners of The Graveyard Shift with Gilbert Brown this past season, this will come as no surprise. Gilbert has always been very much pro-Rodgers in the sense that he feels that the four-time MVP gives the Packers the best chance to win. This is not to say he is anti-Jordan Love; however, in a “win-now” scenario, Rodgers gets the nod in his opinion.
Earl Ingram asked Gilbert what he thought of Rodgers sounding like he wanted to return to the Packers. Below is Gilbert’s response:
“He better. I’m telling everybody: we need this guy back. Like him or don’t like him, we need this guy back, because he’s one heck of a football player and there’s nobody that can do the things that he can do.
“Let’s put his arrogance and whatever else people says he has aside and let’s just talk about football. He’s the best quarterback out there.”
Earl Ingram asked Gilbert if he meant the things Rodgers used to be able to do or the things that he can still do. Gilbert said:
“He’s still the best quarterback out there. Mahomes, he’s going to stay with his team forever. Hurts, he’s going to stay with his team forever. [Aaron Rodgers] is the best quarterback available [to the Packers] right now.”
Gilbert discussed how the young wide receivers and Rodgers seemed to connect better towards the end of the season. In his opinion, a full season of Rodgers being on the same page with the likes of Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs will lead to a much improved product on the field.
Milwaukee Brewers Legend Larry Hisle Joined the Show

If you are a Milwaukee Brewers fan, the segment linked at the beginning of this article is an absolute “must-listen.” Brewers legend Larry Hisle joined Gilbert Brown and Earl Ingram to talk about the importance of sports in their lives. Hisle and Gilbert explained how becoming a professional athlete allowed them to do what they feel they were born to do: mentor underprivileged youth.
In an interview that was both sentimental and hilarious, Hisle shared numerous heart-warming stories while fans called in to tell the former Brewer how he personally changed their lives for the better.
