A former Green Bay Packers running back and Super Bowl champion bailed out a person suspected of shooting a Staten Island detective back in January of 2022. Ryan Grant, who played for the Packers from 2007-2012 is reportedly close with the alleged shooter. The New York Post was the first to report on Grant’s connection to the case. The Milwaukee Bucks fired head coach Mike Budenholzer after another disappointing showing in the NBA Playoffs. Despite winning the NBA Championship in 2021, Coach Bud’s lack of game-to-game and in-game adjustments cost the Bucks numerous times. The Green Bay Packers used their first round pick (#13 overall) to take edge rusher Lukas Van Ness out of Iowa. Van Ness joins seven other former first round picks on a Packers defense that will hope to be much improved in 2023. Van Ness, nicknamed Hercules, did not start any games at Iowa, though did find himself on the field for more snaps than the starting edge rushers. The Milwaukee Bucks made the unfortunate decision to fire head coach Mike Budenholzer. This was an unfortunate decision because it meant that, once again, the team failed to live up to expectations. The irony is that it was Coach Budenholzer himself who created those expectations. Under Jason Kidd, the Bucks won less than half of the regular season games. Coach Budenholzer won nearly 70% of his regular season games as Milwaukee’s head coach and won a NBA Championship. The Green Bay Packers are hoping that Rashan Gary will be able to start this season on their active roster. The exciting pass rusher tore his ACL last year, limiting him to nine games and 6.0 sacks.
