The Green Bay Packers are hoping that Rashan Gary will be able to start this season on their active roster. The exciting pass rusher tore his ACL last year, limiting him to nine games and 6.0 sacks. He was on pace to surpass his 2021 total of 9.5 sacks in 16 games. As far as we know, he is recovering nicely and will be able to play at some point this season, whether that is at the beginning or towards midseason, we do not know yet. However, one thing we do know is that Gary achieved something that is absolutely worth celebrating.
Green Bay Packers Edge Rusher Rashan Gary Graduates from Michigan
Earlier this week, Gary took to social media to share the wonderful news that he completed his degree from the University of Michigan:
Growing up my mom wouldn’t let me play football unless I was on the honor roll. I’m grateful that she’s always been by my side and now watched on as I became a college graduate from the University of Michigan 〽️🎓🤝💯#Classof2023 #believeinyourself #GODDID #mommaimadeit pic.twitter.com/0t39X94jTD

Of course, Gary credited him mom who would not allow him to play football unless he was on the honor roll as a child. After leaving school early to enter the NFL Draft, Gary has finished his degree four years later.
Packers fans were quick to congratulate him on Twitter:

It is great to see Gary accomplish this goal. Hopefully he can also achieve his goal of being ready to play in Week One. That Packers defense needs him very badly. Without him last year, the pass rush suffered mightily. Lucas Van Ness was drafted to help add another dynamic playmaker to the edge, but we would all still love to see Gary back.
