We are just about two weeks away from the 2022 NFL draft.  This draft may be the most important to date for Brian Gutekunst as the Packers GM.  In three of four drafts as the Packers GM, Brian Gutekunst has made a trade in the first round.  Going with that trend, two of these three mock drafts will feature a first round trade.  Here we go: Mock Draft #1 (No Trade): This first draft went wide receiver heavy, but the value was too good to pass up.  Treylon Burks is quickly turning into my favorite wide receiver in this years’…

Life is precious.  We need to remember that in all phases of life, but we see the impact it can have on players and coaches in the sports world on a first hand basis.  2021 running backs coach Gary Brown was not doing well. He had been battling medical issues since December, when he did not travel with the team to the Las Vegas Bowl.  Today his pain was no more: https://twitter.com/clarencehilljr/status/1513316958955048964?s=20&t=tQpX3s6Wfb_mFZP9VLtfFA Gary Brown had an immediate impact on everyone around him, and it is evident with the way so many players are reacting: https://twitter.com/Juicebe11/status/1513320531587653637?s=20&t=tQpX3s6Wfb_mFZP9VLtfFA https://twitter.com/dhillsb10/status/1513322219828617216?s=20&t=tQpX3s6Wfb_mFZP9VLtfFA https://twitter.com/BraelonAllen/status/1513319024322650117?s=20&t=tQpX3s6Wfb_mFZP9VLtfFA https://twitter.com/MarkusAllen19/status/1513319897668980743?s=20&t=tQpX3s6Wfb_mFZP9VLtfFA https://twitter.com/groverbortolot7/status/1513320158319857667?s=20&t=tQpX3s6Wfb_mFZP9VLtfFA https://twitter.com/jaypo1961/status/1513320282953502721?s=20&t=tQpX3s6Wfb_mFZP9VLtfFA…

Jrue Holiday started for the Bucks today so he could reach 67 games played and secure a huge bonus.  Holiday played eight seconds before committing a foul and heading to the bench.  The complete terms of the bonus requirements were: playing 67 games (67) and average 3.15 RPG (4.5) this season. Brett Favre is not only one of the greatest Quarterbacks in Packers history, but the NFL.  Favre’s “gunslinger” mentality created for some of the most memorable moments in Packers history. It unfortunately also landed him #1 on the all-time interception stat sheet with 336 (next is 277). Howeve, he does rank #4 all time in both passing touchdowns (508) and passing yards (71,838). Lastly he was the ironman of football, starting 297 consecutive game which is a streak that may never be broken. Bart Starr, Aaron Rodgers, and Brett Favre are obviously the top 3 in franchise history, but where does…

The Milwaukee Brewers lost a tough one today in Chicago.  The final was 9-0 in favor of the Cubs.  However that didn’t stop the Cubs from playing dirty: https://twitter.com/mlbonfox/status/1512904714232340480?s=21&t=q45La20EJHlhDwxPUBK08A McCutchen’s response: https://twitter.com/adammccalvy/status/1512925271682387976?s=21&t=q45La20EJHlhDwxPUBK08A No “professional” pitcher in the major leagues beams a batter at that point in the game with that score… on accident.  Brewers lost today, but this will give them fuel to finish it on our terms.  #ThisIsMyCrew For More Wisconsin Sports News… Follow me on Twitter at @mcquadewarnold and follow us @WiSportsHeroics for more great content. Earlier this off-season the Packers franchise tagged Davante Adams in hopes for a long term deal.  It was quickly understood that he had no intentions of playing under a franchise tag.  It was also understood soon after that Adams had no desire to continue his career in Green Bay. Many presumed from the start that it was to play with QB Derek Carr.  As details slowly come out regarding his desire to be traded, we are realizing that it is much deeper than that: https://twitter.com/tylerherrick/status/1512860782861570051?s=21&t=ahsNK118sl3Fv_oWFlUQ7w How do you compete with family?  You simply can’t.  I totally respect Adams for making…

Wisconsin Badgers fans know Scotty Nelson well.  Nelson was a four-year starter for the Badgers at free safety. Athleticism and talent were never Nelson’s issue.  He often flashed ball skills and closing burst when he was on the field.  His trouble came with staying off the injury report.  Nelson was arguably the most impressive tester at the Badgers’ pro day, as he impressed scouts in every event. Questions surrounding the Packers’ quarterback situation and the future of Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been as controversial as last year.  After Rodgers won his second straight NFL MVP Award, the Packers signed Rodgers to a three-year extension that drastically lowered his cap hit for 2022 and 2023. This immediately made Jordan Love the center of trade conversations: Today Legendary Packer fan and You-tuber Tom Grossi interviewed Mark Murphy.  One of the talking points was the future of Jordan Love and the quarterback position in Green Bay: https://twitter.com/tomgrossicomedy/status/1512476401592635395?s=20&t=OHgjfLbGAoL4dEJ3xscuSw Grossi went on to say: https://twitter.com/tomgrossicomedy/status/1512477707698946051?s=20&t=OHgjfLbGAoL4dEJ3xscuSw What does this mean going forward? Options are slowly dwindling for the Packers when it comes to wide receivers.  Bradin Cooks was the latest wide receiver to likely be taken off the board.  Cooks signed a two year extension with Houston.  There is some optimism that the contract was signed to make trades more appealing to other teams, however nothing official has been reported confirming that. One Trade: Diontae Johnson Diontae Johnson finished with 107 receptions (ranked 5th in NFL) and 527 yards AFTER the catch (ranked 8th in NFL) in 2021.  He is a YAC MONSTER.  In total he finished with 1,161 receiving yards and…
