Tonight the Brewers start a three-game series in Philadelphia against the Phillies. Today, July 11th marked the final day of the MLB Draft and we saw some alumni from Wisconsin High Schools get drafted along with one current high school player. Overall we saw some good talent drafted from Wisconsin and the players will be explained below. The Final game of the WIAA State Baseball tournament wrapped this week. The Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes came out on top of the Hortonville Polar Bears by a score of 5-1. Whitefish Bay went up early 1-0, but then Hortonville came back with a run. After that point it turned to Whitefish Bay and they scored all the runs they needed in the top of the 2nd by putting up a four spot in that inning. This afternoon, the Denmark Vikings came out on top of the St. Thomas More Cavaliers in an 11 inning thriller by a score of 3-2 and it took 11 innings for them to do so. Please note there was not a lot of offense in this game seeing the score but Denmark took advantage in the Top of the 11th by watching a bad throw to first while trying to turn a double play and being able to advance a runner home. This morning in the WIAA State Baseball championship game for Division 4 the Ithaca Bulldogs came out on top of the Pecatonica Vikings with a final score of 8-7, it was quite a game for Ithaca.
