Lately, the MLB’s big talk has been what the Los Angeles Angels will do with Shoehi Othani. Well one thing on the side of not selling him has just been thrown in there, the Los Angeles Angels have just reached once again a .500 record so it would be interesting to see whether or not he stays with them or ends up being traded. Below I will talk about some situations whether he is traded or if he stays with the Angels.
What if Shohei Ohtani is traded?
The likely situation with Shohei Ohtani being traded would be that the Los Angeles Angels would look for a lot when it comes to Ohtani, that being said a team would have to give up a massive part of their farm system just to be able to maintain Shohei Ohtani and that would most likely only be for a rental that is that bad part, only teams like the Yankees, Mets, Dodgers or even Padres would be able to afford to sign Shohei Ohtani to a huge supermax contract deal at the end of the season which could go on record to be one of the highest ever seeing that he is a two-way player. What if Shohei Ohtani stays with the Angels?
As August 1st is approaching the Los Angeles Angels have a big decision to make on what they are going to do with Shohei Ohtani. Currently, as of July 20th, the Los Angeles Angels sit at 49-48 and 4.5 games behind in the wildcard, currently blocking them from the wildcard is the Red Sox and Yankees before they would hit that third wildcard spot. Currently, the Angels have to think if they want to go in and keep Ohtani till the end of the year and try to make the playoffs and make a run to get in the wildcard or if they just want to give up on the season. Last night, I did a Twitter survey to see what people think the Los Angeles Angels would do with Shohei Ohtani and so far as 7:15pm CDT with 2 hours left we had 47 responses view the poll below. What will the Los Angeles Angels do at the Trade Deadline with Shohei Ohtani? #MLB #Angels #LosAngeles #Anaheim
