Grand Chute, Wisconsin- on the afternoon of June 15th, 2023 the Saint Croix Falls Saints came out and won the Division 3 State Championship over the Aquinas Blugolds, three runs is what got them victory in this one and they can thank multiple players for the hits, but there is one man on the team who collected all 3 RBI’s in this game that being Micheal Shannon (St. Croix Falls, 2023) and he got one hit the other RBI came from a bases loaded walk to put them up 3-1 in the 4th inning. St. Croix Falls pitcher also threw a complete game today Dylan Smith (St. Croix Falls, 2023) threw 7 innings, allowing 4 hits and 1 earned run, striking out 5 as well. Eli Prokop got two hits for the Saints today and Tyler Olson got one as well.
The St. Croix Falls Saints go on to finish 23-3 this season, there only losses came to Spooner in the second game of a doubleheader, Northwestern in a close one run game and they met Aquinas earlier this season and lost 13-5, so they came back in the State Championship and beat Aquinas back. Some leaders this season on the hitting side of things for the saints were, Brady Belisle, Brayden Olson and Nolan Imhoff all collected over a .400 batting average this season. Brayden Olson was the leading pitcher this season who finished the playoffs prior to the State Tournament with a 0.96 ERA, Tyler Olson was also dominate for them as well this season with a 1.40 ERA.
