Derek Carr’s days are numbered in Las Vegas Derek Carr’s career looks to be on the fritz in Las Vegas. Reports came out Wednesday the Raiders’ veteran quarterback will be benched in Week 17 against the San Francisco 49ers. Carr has struggled most of the season. There was heavy speculation as to who would get the nod at starting quarterback for the contest. Two scoring threats out of Wednesday’s practice On Christmas Day, the Green Bay Packers had four players go down with injuries against the Miami Dolphins. Head coach Matt LaFleur said on Monday that Christian Watson, Keisean Nixon, and Yosh Nijman would be day-to-day this week. LaFleur offered an update before Wednesday’s practice. Luke Fickell honors Jim Leonhard after bowl win The Wisconsin Badgers scored an important victory on Tuesday night in their bowl win. The Badgers’ 24-17 win over Oklahoma State improved their record to 7-6, giving them a winning season. The Badgers rallied around interim coach Jim Leonhard after Paul Chryst was fired when the team was 2-3. New head coach Luke Fickell honored the Madison legend during the post-game celebration. However, the team seemed thrilled with their 24-17 victory over Oklahoma State Tuesday night. The Badgers took a large lead before the Cowboys mounted a furious comeback. Braelon Allen and the Badgers dominated through the third quarter  The Wisconsin Badgers dominated through the third quarter against the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl. The Badgers were leading 17-7 before a Garret Rangel interception set the Wisconsin offense up with excellent field position.
