Milwaukee Bucks news: The Indiana Pacers are now on the brink of getting themselves knocked out of the NBA Playoffs. This is after they suffered an embarrassing 121-91 loss against the New York Knicks in Game 5 of their second-round matchup on Tuesday night.

Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green was part of the NBA on TNT broadcast for Game 5, and he decided to slap Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton with a Patrick Beverley-sized truth bomb after witnessing Haliburton’s lackluster defensive effort in the blowout loss.

Green did not hold back in criticizing Haliburton’s effort on the defensive end in Game 5. Needless to say, the former Defensive Player of the Year winner is not at all impressed by what the Pacers superstar has been doing on defense against Jalen Brunson and the Knicks:

“We’re not asking you to come out and be Patrick Beverley, we’re not asking you to come out and be Andrew Nembhard, we’re asking you to come out and give an honest effort,” Green said of Haliburton (h/t Prateek Singh of The Sports Rush).

"You're The Guy…Give an honest effort & compete…If you take the easy way out on the defensive end every chance you get, those guys you need to run thru a brick wall ain't running thru that brick wall, & you're gonna be on your way home"

That’s pretty harsh but you have to say, Green isn’t exactly in the wrong here.

Green’s comments hit two birds with one stone here. Not only is he blatantly criticizing Haliburton’s defense, but in the process, the four-time NBA champ is also heaping praise on what Pat Beverley brings to the table on the defensive end.

Green is without a doubt one of the most high IQ players in the NBA today, particularly on the defensive side of the ball, so this type of praise coming from him speaks volumes of how much respect Beverley commands across the league.
