Braelon Allen and the Badgers dominated through the third quarter
The Wisconsin Badgers dominated through the third quarter against the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl. The Badgers were leading 17-7 before a Garret Rangel interception set the Wisconsin offense up with excellent field position. Two plays later, Braelon Allen ran for a 20-yard touchdown to put the Badgers up 24-7 with about six minutes left in the third quarter.

The Badgers had dominated most of the contest. The Cowboys had an early 7-3 lead following a Chase Wolf interception in the first quarterback. Wolf and the Badgers’ offense would rally, putting up 14 more points before halftime. Allen, who is coming back for Wisconsin next season, was leading all Badgers’ rushers with 92 yards in 16 carries.
Wisconsin senior Chez Mellusi was also having a solid night against Oklahoma State. He had 66 yards through the third quarter and scored the Badgers’ first touchdown of the game on a one-yard run.
