Packers Passing

The Packers passing attack is under threat this offseason The Green Bay Packers’ passing attack took a little while to start its engine this season. Rookie wide receiver Christian Watson got the plane off the ground, but it wasn’t enough to take full flight as the Detroit Lions game showed Sunday night. Early season injuries and youthful inexperience hurt the Packers’ chances at the postseason. A Packers beat writer suggested recently the situation might be bleaker next season. The Packers drafted a trio of rookies in 2022. It was a move to bring young wide receivers to an offense that…

One ESPN insider thinks the Badgers can climb very high in Fickell’s first season. According to Kevin Flaherty with 247 Sports, Paul Finebaum said recently on Sports Center that the Badgers could reach the College Football Playoff next season: “Considering the Cinderella story, this is very difficult,” Finebaum said on SportsCenter Tuesday. “But if…

Aaron Rodgers

The Packers could use an All-Pro wide receiver  The Green Bay Packers would have much better chances at winning a championship next season with an All-Pro wide receiver. One of Aaron Rodgers’ most telling comments, following the loss to the Detroit Lions Sunday night that eliminated the Packers’ postseason chances, was that they were a couple of players away from competing.  It’ll be an interesting offseason to keep the roster as good as it was this season. The Packers will have to consider parting ways with some of their best players, like Aaron Jones, to save enough cap space to…

Luke Fickell

Luke Fickell and Wisconsin got snubbed Luke Fickell inherited a dicey situation in terms of roster and recruiting turnover when he accepted the Wisconsin Badgers job. He’s done a tremendous job recruiting since then. The Badgers, aided by hiring top offensive coordinator Phil Longo, have flipped major offensive pieces that will make the team dynamic next season. But the national media isn’t buying the hype yet. ESPN released their 2023 Way Too Early college football Top 25 list following the national championship game on Monday. The Big Ten conference had four teams (Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Iowa) represent them…

Wisconsin Badgers Men's March Madness

Wisconsin Badgers Men’s March Madness Projections in Week 10 The Wisconsin Badgers Men’s March Madness hopes are very much alive in early January. The Badgers come into Week 10 of their season ranked 18th in the AP Poll. Wisconsin was aided by a strong record (8-2) in non-Big Ten play.  But the past week has been a struggle for the team. The Badgers have dropped two Big Ten contests in a row. They lost on the road to Illinois 79-6 and 69-65 at home to Michigan State. Wisconsin is now 3-2 in Big Ten play. It’s not the start to…

Romeo Doubs

Romeo Doubs had a rollercoaster season Romeo Doubs gave an honest reflection recently after his rookie season ended Sunday night. Doubs had a fast start this season for the Green Bay Packers. Doubs caught touchdown passes against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots. Through early October, Doubs looked like he’d be the best rookie wide receiver for the Packers as he was chasing first-year records. Unfortunately, Doubs missed several weeks with an ankle injury. He also made some mistakes. Doubs had several crucial drops, one against the Washington Commanders and two drops against the Detroit Lions in Week…

Packers Draft

The Packers draft will depend on free agency  The Green Bay Packers draft is pretty up in the air at this point. Sure, most NFL teams don’t have their picks locked down yet. The scouting combine is still a month away. But the Packers have a few positions of need, and their draft choice will be contingent on how the free agency period goes.  The Packers have 14 free agents in 2023. They also have limited cap space to work with next season. Cutting running back Aaron Jones is rumored as one potential remedy to allow the Packers to re-sign…

free agent signs with the Packers

A Free Agent signs with the Packers Green Bay’s offseason got off to a fast start as a free agent signs with the Packers less than two days after the season ended. The Packers fell short of their playoff ambitions on Sunday night against the Detroit Lions. Head coach Matt LaFleur said he’d go through the season “with a fine-toothed comb,” so far his analysis has been that coaching wasn’t the problem. However, the Packers did add a contender to the mix for next season’s secondary. According to Aaron Wilson with KPRC, the Packers signed defensive back Tyrell Ford Tuesday.…

Wisconsin Badgers recruiting ranking

The Wisconsin Badgers recruiting rankings are good for Luke Fickell This season, the Wisconsin Badgers recruiting rankings took a dive when the school fired head coach Paul Chryst. Interim head coach Jim Leonhard fought to keep some recruits with the Badgers. But it was expected Wisconsin would need to overhaul their recruiting class when head coach Luke Fickell was hired. He’s done a pretty good job so far. The Badgers signed 15 players on early signing day. That was an impressive number considering Wisconsin’s committed list was down to the single digits a few weeks earlier. Fickell didn’t stop there.…
