A Packers rookie has suspension lifted
A Green Bay Packers rookie had their suspension removed on Monday. The move came a day after the Packers were eliminated from the playoffs. So he won’t have a chance to get on the field again this season.
According to the NFL’s transaction wire, Packers offensive lineman Sean Rhyan had his suspension lifted by commissioner Roger Goodell. Rhyan was suspended for six games on November 25th. He was suspended for violating the NFL’s rule on performance-enhancing substances.
Rhyan was a third-round draft pick by the Packers in 2022. He didn’t see the field much in his rookie season. Rhyan played no snaps on offense. He played in one snap on special teams for the Packers in their loss to Detroit in November.
It’s been an interesting ride with Packers rookies this season. Wide receiver Christian Watson had a slow start but finished the season as the Packers’ best weapon on offense. Linebacker Quay Walker showed talent on the field but has some maturity to grow through this offseason.
