Perhaps one of the most funny and unfortunate scenes in the last week came during the Brewers-Dodgers series. Bernie Brewer has a slide that sits in the stands and graces him after each home run. However, Dodgers TV reporter David Vassegh didn’t enjoy his ride as much as Bernie Brewer. Vassegh decided to go for a joyride on the slide and ended up cracking 6 ribs and fracturing his wrist. Over the last ten games, the Brewers have gone 5-5 and lost some close games. While the team performance wasn’t great and the Brewers struggled to score runs, there were some positives. There is no way around it, the 2022 season didn’t go the way the Brewers wanted it to. There is still time left this year, but the team is nowhere near where expectations were set after a 95-67 year in 2021. After trading away Josh Hader the Brewers confirmed they were retooling.
