Eric Lauer

On Monday night, the Brewers faced the Dodgers in what was a fantastic 4-0 win for the Brewers. The highlight of the game was by far the pitching performance displayed. Eric Lauer has been up and down this year with a 3.44 ERA and a 9-5 win-loss record. A bit of it can be contributed to the need to push more since the offense hasn’t been much help. Last night, Lauer threw 98 pitches in 5 innings of work giving up 5 hits and no runs. A solo homer by Urias in the fourth inning was enough to give Lauer…

Today at 12:30, Ian Rapoport joined The Pat McAfee Show to update fans about rumors across the NFL. Among the players discussed during the report, Rapoport was asked specifically about two Packers players. Elgton Jenkins and David Bakhthiari are two anchors the Packers have had to play without. Bakh has missed significant time and his knee is still a serious question. Elgton Jenkins tore his ACL last season against the Vikings and was just recently allowed to do individual drills. It is very promising to see each of these players get ready for the upcoming season. But, as Rapoport points…

Perhaps one of the most funny and unfortunate scenes in the last week came during the Brewers-Dodgers series. Bernie Brewer has a slide that sits in the stands and graces him after each home run. However, Dodgers TV reporter David Vassegh didn’t enjoy his ride as much as Bernie Brewer. Vassegh decided to go for a joyride on the slide and ended up cracking 6 ribs and fracturing his wrist. All of the injuries were the result of him crashing into the roughly padded wall at the bottom of the slide. Gravity took over completely and sent Vassegh into a…

On Sunday, Head Coach Matt LaFleur gave some updates to reporters about injuries as well as Packers kicker Mason Crosby. One of the biggest and brightest updates was regarding All-Pro LT David Bakthtiari being activated off the PUP list.  Another topic LaFleur addressed was the kicking situation and Mason Crosby’s injury. Lafleur confirmed that Crosby has been kicking and working out, but wouldn’t commit to taking him off the PUP list yet. It seems like Crosby has been trending in the right direction since he can kick, but he still doesn’t feel 100%. The Year to Prove It If there’s…

This time of year, statistics and wins don’t really matter much. It is always a nice touch to go undefeated in preseason, or shred the competition. Packers’ Jordan Love and Romeo Doubs connected again for a nice touchdown. Danny Etling broke away for a beautiful touchdown. Isaiah McDuffie and co led the defense through a fantastic performance. Here is a breakdown of the best and worst Pro Football Focus grades for the Packers and what it potentially means for each player: Top Overall Packers Grades vs Saints OLB Ladarius Hamilton: 87.5 OT Zach Tom: 84.5 S Micah Abernathy: 82.9 QB…

Over the last ten games, the Brewers have gone 5-5 and lost some close games. While the team performance wasn’t great and the Brewers struggled to score runs, there were some positives. Yelich Demolishes Slump Christian Yelich has been one of many Brewers players who struggled to produce this year. He currently sits at 38 RBI’s and 9 homers, which is also a product of the team around him. Perhaps the lowest point of the season has been an 0-for-26 slump that Yelich spent nearly all of August in. He has hit .197 so far in August with one homer. As…

There is no way around it, the 2022 season didn’t go the way the Brewers wanted it to. There is still time left this year, but the team is nowhere near where expectations were set after a 95-67 year in 2021. After trading away Josh Hader the Brewers confirmed they were retooling. Let’s put the 2021 and 2022 seasons in the past. This team isn’t the same as last year anymore, and they certainly haven’t looked like they can replicate last year either. Onto 2023, where there will be greener pastures and a better roster. If the Brewers lock in…
