Marquette announced on Wednesday that they will have a home-and-home series with the Maryland Terrapins for next season and in 2025-2026. Next year, the Golden Eagles will face the Terrapins on November 15 at College Park, Maryland. The following season, Maryland will come to the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Kevin Willard is the head coach of the Maryland Terrapins. They missed the NCAA Tournament a season ago with a 16-17 overall record and a 7-13 record in BIG10 Conference play. It is possible that the Marquette Golden Eagles will face an improved Maryland team at the start of next season. Some think that the Terrapins could be ranked in the preseason Top 25.

Earlier in the offseason, the Marquette Golden Eagles announced that they will have a home-and-home series with the Purdue Boilermakers. Purdue won the BIG10 Conference in the regular season and had a 34-5 overall record and a 17-3 BIG10 Conference record. The Boilermakers went to the Final Four this season in Phoenix, Arizona.
Purdue went to the National Championship game this season before losing to the UCONN Huskies. The Boilermakers and the Marquette Golden Eagles faced each other last season in the Maui Invitational title game. The game in 2024-2025 will be played at Marquette’s home court. In 2025-2026, it will be played at West Lafayette, Indiana and the date and time for that game has yet to be announced also.
Head coach Matt Painter will have his basketball program ranked in the preseason Top 10 once again next season. Purdue may not have superstar and two-time National Player of the Year Zach Edey around anymore, but they will still be a very good basketball team. The Boilermakers are always a well-coached basketball team.
