Today at 12:30, Ian Rapoport joined The Pat McAfee Show to update fans about rumors across the NFL. Among the players discussed during the report, Rapoport was asked specifically about two Packers players.
Elgton Jenkins and David Bakhthiari are two anchors the Packers have had to play without. Bakh has missed significant time and his knee is still a serious question. Elgton Jenkins tore his ACL last season against the Vikings and was just recently allowed to do individual drills.
It is very promising to see each of these players get ready for the upcoming season. But, as Rapoport points out, there are still multiple questions surrounding the Packers linemen. More specifically, is Bakh going to be healthy enough to play early this season? As well as, is Elgton Jenkins knee good enough to go for week 1?
"If it doesn't feel 100% David Bakhtiari isn't gonna be out there week one.. him being out there feeling good with no setbacks is a good sign" ~@RapSheet#PMSLive #GoPackGo pic.twitter.com/zHnvwxDeiZ

Barring any setbacks, both players should be back and fully ready for the long haul this season. It’ll be both of their first full 17 game seasons for the Packers. They hope to play 20+ games this season, which means attrition can be serious for both of them.
The spirits seem high among the team and staff. There’s no doubt that the offense will benefit from having their best linemen come back, but this will also benefit the team as a whole. Having veterans who players listen to walk around fired up, and healthy, is a great sign to see.
