Over the last ten games, the Brewers have gone 5-5 and lost some close games. While the team performance wasn’t great and the Brewers struggled to score runs, there were some positives.
Yelich Demolishes Slump
Christian Yelich has been one of many Brewers players who struggled to produce this year. He currently sits at 38 RBI’s and 9 homers, which is also a product of the team around him.
Perhaps the lowest point of the season has been an 0-for-26 slump that Yelich spent nearly all of August in. He has hit .197 so far in August with one homer. As awful as it was to watch, it must’ve been even worse for Christian to experience it.
Luckily, on a 2-1 count with one out, Yelich sent a homer 451 feet into the air. It may have only been a solo shot but there’s no better cure for a slump than blasting a moon shot in front of the Brewers home crowd.
Career hit # 1,310
This ball has not landed yet. Christian Yelich gives the Brewers the lead with a monster blast of 451 feet.
This is his 9th home run this season and 169th career home run. #ThisIsMyCrew

McCutchen Stays Hot for the Brewers
Andrew McCutchen has been silently having a great season at 35. The veteran has hit .250 with 14 homers and an OPS of .728. He has been one of the more effective players offensive for the team but has also had his share of struggles.
McCutchen is currently on track to only walk 50 times this season, which is 30 walks fewer than his previous career. Along with this, he also has a WAR of 0.6 which is standard for Brewers players this season.
On the bright side, in the last ten games McCutchen has 9 hits, 8 RBI’s, and 3 home runs. On Friday, McCutchen added to the totals with a two run shot against the Cubs.

There are 44 games left in the season and still a strong chance the Brewers make the playoffs. The team currently sits at 63-55 as they are four games out of the division. The team is also one game out of the Wild Card.
