The New York Jets received incredible news on Aaron Rodgers’ recovery ahead of their matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. Fans reacted to the news on social media Sunday afternoon.
Rodgers was traded by the Green Bay Packers to the Jets this spring in the most significant move of the offseason. Rodgers played four snaps for the Jets before sustaining an Achilles injury. Rodgers had surgery immediately following the injury and hopes to recover in time to play in the playoffs.
Rodgers is reportedly making speedy progress in his recovery. Per Jordan Shultz, Rodgers’ doctor cleared the quarterback to fly to New York this weekend. Rodgers spoke to his Jets teammates.

I’m told Rodgers just attended the team meeting and spoke to his teammates.

Rodgers seems to be making a fast recovery. But he isn’t ready to play in time to alter the Packers getting a first-round pick from the Jets. Here are the best takes on Rodgers returning to the Jets’ facility ahead of their game against the Chiefs.
Who would have a better game tomorrow night: Aaron Rodgers playing with a torn Achilles or Zach Wilson?

I texted my buddy earlier that I trust Rodgers with torn Achilles more than a fully healthy Wilson. He’s so bad man 😭
