A former Green Bay Packers wide receiver is getting a major opportunity to show his value in Week 4. The Indianapolis Colts made a decision to elevate a former Packers wide receiver in the same week the team will have their starting quarterback, rookie Anthony Richardson, return from injury.
The Colts have had a surprise start to the regular season. The team is 2-1 heading into their Week 4 contest against the Los Angeles Rams. The Colts, with backup quarterback Gardner Minshew, defeated the talented Baltimore Ravens in Week 3.
The Colts will have different playmakers in Week 4.

The former Green Bay Packers draft pick wants more playing time
Per WSH Media files, Rodgers, who was with the Houston Texans this summer, left the team for an opportunity to get more playing time this season with the Colts:
Rodgers’ signing was quick. He passed waivers without being picked up, and there were no reports of the Colts’ interest in signing Rodgers before Schefter’s report Wednesday that he had signed with the team.
Rodgers’ decision to leave the Texans was mutual. The Texans, who have a young pass-catching group working with rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud, weren’t going to be able to offer Rodgers enough paying time on their roster.
So far this season, Rodgers hasn’t had an opportunity to play. The Packers 2021 third-round pick will get a chance to prove he deserves more playing time if he performs well against the Rams.
Rodgers had 39 yards receiving on five targets during the Colts’ preseason.
