Whether you love him, hate him, or are indifferent, Green Bay Packers fans will be keeping on eye on Aaron Rodgers for the rest of his career. The legendary quarterback was traded away last off-season after spending 18 seasons (15 starting) in Green Bay.
Before he was traded there was speculation surrounding how much longer he would have in the league before he retired. Once he was traded he was pretty vocal about having “multiple years left in the tank.” His torn Achilles made some fans doubt that he would ever return to the game.
Now the future Hall of Fame QB has given the league an update on how much longer he plans to play

Former Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers Gives Timeline For The Remainder Of His Career

According to Daniel Matthews of The Daily Mail:
Rodgers returned to Jets HQ on Monday for voluntary offseason workouts ahead of the 2024 season. Rodgers admitted recently that he initially feared the injury could end his career. ‘I was really thinking: “This is it. You don’t come back from this injury,”‘ he told the ‘I Can Fly’ podcast.
Now, though, according to a source close to the 40-year-old, Rodgers believes he is where he hoped to be upon his arrival to New York last year.
In fact, Mail Sport understands that Rodgers thinks he is running quicker than before getting hurt.
That will come as a huge boost to the Jets, who struggled without their star quarterback last season.
But the four-time MVP is believed to have made it clear that he wants to play for two or three more years.
‘He’s on a mission,’ Jets coach Robert Saleh said last month. ‘He’s on a mission to do a lot of things that he wanted to do last year and he’s not going to stop until he gets it done.’
Speaking on the ‘I Can Fly Podcast’ recently, Rodgers said he is ‘excited’ about his return to the field.
Rodgers Could Play Until He’s 43?

Rodgers, 40, underwent surgery last September and spent the regular season split between California and New Jersey, rehabilitating aggressively, in anticipation of returning to play in the playoffs. After being added to the 53-man roster in December, he returned to the practice field, where he threw passes against the Jets’ top-rated defense as a “scout” quarterback.
The Jets reworked Rodgers’ contract in an attempt to keep him around for longer than just the 2024 season. From the sounds of it, both sides want to keep this run going for a total of 3-4 years.
