Pool play in the 2023 World Baseball Classic has officially ended. In Pool C, Team Mexico came out on top with a record of 3-1 and Team USA second as they lost to Mexico 11-5 a few days ago. On Wednesday night, USA played Colombia and they punched their ticket to the quarterfinals as they won by a narrow 3-2 margin. During that game, Brewers stud closer Devin Williams displayed his dazzling changeup.

Brewers Devin Williams displays his dazzling changeup in the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
Williams entered the game in the eighth inning for Team USA. With just a one run lead, Williams came in and aggressively pounded the strike zone. He pitched a clean 1-2-3 inning that included two strikeouts and of his 10 pitches, nine went for strikes.
The first victim that Williams retired was Oscar Mercado as he struck him out on three pitches. His lone ball came during the first pitch to Harold Ramirez, but he then delivered three strikes after that. Gio Urshela was the last batter he faced, in which Williams was up 0-2 before getting Urshela to ground out.
Ryan Pressly would earn the save for Team USA in the ninth. Captain Mike Trout drove in all three runs for the USA in this game. They now advance to a quarterfinal matchup against Team Venezuala on Saturday night.
Takeaways from tonight
1) Thank God Mike Trout is an American
