Wisconsin basketball has been enjoying its holiday break. Although UW has not played since defeating Chicago State on December 22nd, the Wisconsin Badgers are on the rise in the AP Top 25 Poll.
Wisconsin Basketball Climbs to No. 21 in AP Top 25 Poll
Badgers head coach Greg Gard’s squad rose from No. 21 to No. 23 in the latest version of the AP Poll despite not having played since its last iteration. The move comes as a consequence of the Creighton Bluejays’ loss to Marquette, moving Creighton from 22nd to outside the top 25, and the Gonzaga Bulldogs’ 13-spot drop after losing to 2023 National Runner-Up San Diego State.
This is Wisconsin’s highest ranking in the AP Poll this season. It is the highest ranking for the Badgers since January 9th, 2023, when UW was slotted 18th.
