This is a game where the Badgers can very well be on upset alert against the Dukes. This isn’t the first time this season James Madison has faced a BIG10 team. They faced the Michigan State Spartans and won that game on the road.
Wisconsin last played in the BIG10 Tournament on Sunday against the Illinois Fighting Illini in the championship game and lost by a final score of 93-87. AJ Storr led the way for the Badgers with 24 points, grabbed five rebounds, and recorded one assist. Storr had an amazing BIG10 Tournament for Wisconsin and he hopes it carries over into the NCAA Tournament for Greg Gard’s squad.
Chucky Hepburn scored 20 points, grabbed five rebounds, and recorded five assists against the Illinois Fighting Illini. Max Klesmit scored 16 points and Steven Crowl also added 11 points for Wisconsin.
Players To Watch For On the James Madison Dukes Against the Wisconsin Badgers
Mark Byington is the head coach of the Dukes basketball program. They last played on Monday, March 11 against the Arkansas State Redwolves in the Sun Belt Championship game. James Madison won that game by a final score of 91-71 over Arkansas State.
The Dukes had four different players score in double figures against the Redwolves. Xavier Brown led the way with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and recorded three assists. Terrence Edwards Jr. scored 19 points, Jaylen Varey scored 13 points, and Noah Friedel scored 12 points for the James Madison Dukes against the Arkansas State Redwolves.
This could be a game where this gets into the high 80s and low 90s. The defense will be at a premium in this game. The Badgers and the Dukes both have very good offense. What this game between Wisconsin and James Madison may come down to is which team will make more three points shots and who will also get more free throw attempts.
