While the Wisconsin Badgers football team began their practices today, the recruiting staff had a busy day as well. The Badgers played hosts to a number of undecided 2024 and 2025 recruits giving them a first hand look at how Wisconsin will prepare themselves this season. Among the recruits are two notable 2024 three-star prospects from Illinois, I’Marion Stewart and LeonTre Bradford.
Wisconsin Badgers Football Staff Hosts Notable Recruits
I’Marion Stewart and LeonTre Bradford are both 2024 three-star recruits from Illinois. Stewart is currently ranked as the ninth overall player in the state, while Bradford is ranked as the 21st best. The two players each have scholarship offers from Wisconsin, Iowa State, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Illinois among other significant programs.

Stewart has been quite the active recruit, making multiple unofficial visits already in his recruiting process. Stewart has also visited Wisconsin previously, as he made his first unofficial visit last October before visiting Michigan. Thus far, the Wolverines have been the favorites to land the talented athlete as he was scheduled to make another visit before coming to Madison. 247 Sports currently gives the Wolverines the crystal ball prediction to land Stewart when he makes his decision.
Coming in at six foot one inch, 180 pounds, Stewart is listed as an athlete due to his potential to play on either side of the ball. Given his speed and route running capabilities, Stewart is a natural wide receiver, but also has the ability to excel in the secondary as a corner back. Stewart will need to add some size to his frame before going to the next level, but once he develops the physical side of the game he can be dominant.
LeonTre Bradford, on the other hand, is still fairly new to the recruiting process. Bradford holds 14 offers currently but has not taken any visits thus far. Bradford recently tweeted that he would be landing in Madison this weekend, which would make the Badgers the first school the recruit has set foot on. Nebraska, Iowa State, and Illinois have been the front runners to land Bradford thus far.

At six feet tall, 190 pounds, Bradford packs a punch for his size at safety. He is able to fly across the field to read plays and react to them before the offense can stop him. Bradford has displayed in high school that he has an athletic play-making ability which could translate to the next level extremely well. Currently, the three-star recruit ranks as the 70th best safety in the 2024 class with the potential of joining a deep room in Madison.

While it is just the first day of the initial practices, the Badgers will likely bring in many more recruits across the next couple of weeks. Once the summer hits, there will be a fair amount of camps, special rules games, and scrimmages where players will get to showcase their talent. Until then, the Wisconsin Badgers football staff will have to make the most of playing host to their stellar recruits.
